Sydney is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Ohio dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and empowerment. She earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ohio University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development from Roanoke College. Sydney specializes in working with survivors of domestic violence and relationship abuse, offering compassionate, trauma-informed care tailored to each client's unique experience. She has experience supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. Her approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of the complex dynamics of interpersonal trauma. Sydney aims to create a supportive space in sessions where clients can rebuild trust, strengthen self-worth, and develop tools for long-term resilience. She utilizes an integrative and client-centered approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, narrative techniques, and more. Sydney is proud to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and those from historically marginalized communities. She understands the added layers of complexity that systemic oppression and identity-based trauma can bring, and she strives to provide culturally responsive and inclusive care. Above all, Sydney believes in the resilience of survivors and in each person's ability to reclaim their voice, restore their sense of self, and move forward with strength and clarity.
