Ashley Luli is a counselor intern completing her counseling degree through the University of Akron. She works with adolescents (13+), adults, and couples. Ashley has experience working with clients presenting with various concerns including: adolescent issues, trauma, chronic pain and illness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, grief/loss, life transitions, relationship issues, and exploring one’s own identity. Ashley has worked in youth ministry for 14+ years, which has led to a passion for advocating for LGBTQIA+ individuals and working with those with religious trauma, no matter whether they seek to rebuild their faith or find a new sense of self outside of religion.

Her approach to counseling is trauma-informed and integrative, as she is passionate about individualizing treatment by striving to see the world through each client’s personal perspective. Ashley is relational and emotion-focused, while integrating interventions from a variety of orientations such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and more. Ashley believes that personal growth is the result of developing a collaborative relationship with clients that is non-judgmental, compassionate, encourages self-acceptance, and challenges clients to seek growth.
